You are watching: Ruger 22/45 red dot
I”m looking for a Red Dot for my 22/45. Does anyone have experience with a red dot on the Lite? Want something small and light weight and reasonably priced.
I just put a Burris Fastfire 3 on my MkIII. They have a dovetail mount that goes in place of the rear sight if you don”t mount it on the picatinny. The thing I like about this set up is that you can still use the front sight, co witness, with a line on the back of the Fastfire3. I just dialed it in yesterday.
I also have a Fastfire III on my 22/45, but I got mine last spring when Burris was giving them away with a purchase of the AR-332 or AR-536 sights. It was a great deal to get a $200 plus red dot. But eh TRS-25 is a good low cost red dot.
I have a fast fire “ll on my Mk lol 2245 lite. I have a 53rd 25 on a S&W Victory. I do like the trs better.
We the unwilling, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible, for the ungrateful. We have done so much, with so little, for so long, we can now do anything with nothing.
Vortex Venom is a great little red dot. Built tough and great warranty. Holds up to hot .357 magnum loads so it should have no trouble with rimfire!
red dot on 22/45I using a TruGlow on both of my Ruger Mark III and IV and also on both of my 10-22 brake down rifles. They were inexpensive and work great. They are red and green dots and have a variety of dot sites.

I got the Truglo reflex sight for my 22/45 MkIII. Paid about $40 on Amazon. It”s been rock solid and pretty accurate so far.One thing to keep in mind, if you choose to go this route…There”s a tiny set screw in the side of the sight that you have to loosen before making adjustments, and then tighten after adjustments. It”s not mentioned in the manual. The people on the intertubes who complain that they can”t get it to adjust, or it lost zero when they sneezed, are likely neglecting this particular component.
