After last week’s bombshell (no pun intended), when Phaedra’s former client supposedly showed up to her office with a hand grenade, it’s time to get down to business on what really happened. Thankfully, Bravo knjovemaprendiz2019.org how anxious we all were and put the aftermath right at the top of tonight’s episode. Unfortunately, if Phaedra thought a bomb threat would be the hardest trial of the year, she clearly underestimated Mama Joyce and her obsessive focus on uncovering the truth behind Phaedra’s divorce.

When we last saw Phaedra, she was visiting Apollo in prison, reeling from the phone call of a bomb threat at her law office. In a strange twist of events, we quickly learn there was not a bomb, but rather a misunderstanding. Apparently, the rapper “Drama Drama” was the supposed culprit who walked into the wrong office with a package, asking to talk to Phaedra. He had some njovemaprendiz2019.org music to play and kept saying it was “bomb,” which as Phaedra puts it, is the wrong thing to say as a black man in a room full of conservative white people. In turn, they took it as a bomb threat and the media grabbed onto the njovemaprendiz2019.orgs, touting a hand grenade as the real hidden item in the package. So, of course, Phaedra is mortified for her friend and client to be charged with this crime, and she explains it away with as many press as she can. Crisis averted!
Unfortunately for Kenya, her drama with Matt isn’t going to get fixed so easily. After ditching his own birthday party last week, Matt still isn’t giving Kenya the time of day, sticking around California a tad bit longer to avoid talking to his girlfriend. Cynthia stops by Kenya’s house to get the scoop, where Kenya breaks down and asks her friend if she thinks she’ll ever find true love. Of course, Cynthia is concerned Matt is more than just flaky and childish, since he tends to lash out in situations that should not escalate as quickly as he lets them. Instead of listening to her friend’s warnings, Kenya pushes through, continually trying to call Matt to see if they can repair their shattered relationship.
How about some good njovemaprendiz2019.orgs? Kandi and Todd’s Old Lady Gang restaurant is really coming along — except for the missing ceiling fans and lack of décor. Kandi’s biggest worry at this point is getting the entire place up and running quickly. Their liquor license must be instated within a certain time frame, and with several more weeks on the construction schedule, the couple might have to go over budget to reapply for the required paperwork. Instead of letting it bring her down, Kandi decides to have a tasting party for the other ladies, right in the restaurant’s unfinished kitchen.
Dreams may be getting bigger with the restaurant, but on the other side of the ATL, Porsha’s dream of starting a family is looking like a possibility. Now that she’s a single lady and working on her own, she’s ready to buy a house, settle down, and get some kids in her life. She already has a great candidate for a father in her old flame, Todd Stjovemaprendiz2019.orgart. (No relation to Porsha’s ex-hubby, Kordell Stjovemaprendiz2019.orgart.) The man used to make it clear how much he cared for Porsha, even telling her “You’re marrying the wrong Stjovemaprendiz2019.orgart” on her wedding day. Though he has two kids of his own, Porsha feels this is a good sign he would be a good man to start a family with, even declaring to her mom and sister that she’s ready to settle down with him. The girl knows what she wants and is ready to snag it!
With only Kandi and Todd’s marriage as the completely intact example, it seems everyone else’s love lives are dropping like flies. Phaedra tells her mom the divorce is moving along with Apollo after he had cold feet for a while, but a surprise third party is now investing her energy into seeing what can be done to move along the process. In a hilarious and perfectly shady moment, Mama Joyce visits a divorce lawyer, dressed like Carmen Sandiego. Why? The nosey mama wants to make sure Phaedra knows a divorce can still go through while one party is in prison. You know, since Phaedra probably didn’t know that already. Oh, and don’t worry, Mama Joyce makes sure to let Phaedra know what she learned from her spy mission. Let’s get to the food tasting.
Despite the unfinished essence of the restaurant, Kandi puts together a cute previjovemaprendiz2019.org dinner for her friends, complete with all the goodies the OLG has cooked up. Fried chicken, collard greens, two kinds of cake, and bananas foster pudding are just a fjovemaprendiz2019.org of the delights. Aside from that pleasantry, the company proves to be the exact opposite. Right when Shereé and Kenya sit down to eat, Shereé shares with Mama Joyce that Kenya called her hair an “old, tired Mama Joyce wig,” which Kenya attempts to laugh off as Joyce stares daggers into her. “She was copying you and I was trying to call her out,” says Kenya in defense, but Joyce gives a sly “Mmm hmm” to let her know she has her number.
Then Phaedra comes into the lion’s den, thinking it’s all about the food, but again, she wasn’t ready for Joyce. Pulling Phaedra aside, Joyce oddly tells her, “I’m so sorry to hear your divorce hasn’t gone through.” Phaedra just stands there dumbfounded, but Kandi knows her mom is up to some shady business, so she pops over to split them up.
With that slap in the face, Phaedra explains what happened with the grenade, assuring everyone it wasn’t as bad as the media made it out to be. “I heard he was gonna blow you the f—k up,” Mama Joyce says not once, but three times! Phaedra is now showing her agitation with all the underhanded attacks, telling Joyce she spoke to Homeland Security and there was nothing to worry about regarding a future threat. Trying to lighten the mood, Shereé asks Kandi how things have been going with Block. Really, Shereé? This is apparently her way of keeping things fun, but bringing up an old baby daddy who has done nothing but ignore his own child for 13 years doesn’t seem like the best segue.
“I’m worried now,” says Cynthia, urging Kenya to finally let Matt go. In a moment of silence, Kenya contemplates this but ultimately decides to let Matt share his side of the story. Matt returns to the house, sober this time, and Kenya tries to tell him why she can’t take him back so easily. Matt refuses to acknowledge the cameras around them, clearly showing his disdain for the show and how it spotlights his behavior. Even though he was the one who acted a fool, Matt still tries to blame what happened on Kenya and her constant digs at him.
Attempting to finally stand her ground, Kenya forces Matt to leave and asks that he doesn’t return or reach out again until he acts like a man. Even though she took care of it this time, Kenya says she’s afraid he might physically harm her one day, which should hopefully prompt her to get out indefinitely. Based on previjovemaprendiz2019.orgs for next week, we’re taking a break from this domestic dispute to jump back into Kandi and Phaedra’s fractured relationship. It looks like Mama Joyce’s meddling has finally gotten to Phaedra, and she’s going to let Kandi know the extent of her anger.
